The Pastoral Ministry is the principal consultative body in
the parish by which the Christian faithful give their help in fostering
pastoral activity. The Pastoral Ministry nurtures the spiritual
life and growth of its members. It discerns the needs and hopes
of
the parish community, establishing priorities among the various ministries.
Finally it overssees the formation of policy and the development
of
programs of pastoral activity. To adequately carry out these responsibilities
four committees function under the guidance of parish pastoral
council.
Cemetery
Committee
Oversees maintenance of St. Michael Cemetery.
Cleaning Church
Semi-annual church cleaning during Advent and Lent.
Coffee and Donuts
Host coffee and donuts after Sunday Masses.
Finance
Council
Help develop a yearly budget and review it on a monthly basis as well as offer
suggestions to meet budget (meet monthly).
Funeral Luncheons
Help prepare and serve lunch for the family.
Janitor Substitute
Do janitor duties in absence of janitor.
Office-Parish Receptionist
Volunteer in the office with phone calls and parishioner
contact.
Pastoral Council
Help determine and evaluate pastoral needs for the
parish and develop programs to meet these needs (meets 6 times
per year).
60+ Gatherings
Organize and host social functions for seniors of
our parish.
Socials-Parish
Help with and host parish socials (First Communion,
Confirmation, etc.).
Special Events Committee
Organize special events and dinners throughout the
year.
Stewardship Committee
Prepare the parish for annual stewardship awareness.
