Baptisms are indeed joyful occasions. Through the symbolic annointing with the water we dedicate a new life into the Christian community.

Infant baptisms are celebrated the second Sunday of each month, except during Advent and Lent. Parents prepare for their child's sacrament by attending a baptismal class offered on the third Thursday of January, March, May, July, September and November. Parishioners anticipating the birth of a child are to contact the parish office 3-5 months before the birth of the child and to participate in a required program of preparation.

Unbaptized adults wishing to receive the sacrament are enrolled in the Catechumenate and participate in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) with baptism at the Easter Vigil.
